Age verification and the law in United Kingdom
Every order to Coventry is strictly 18+. Since 8 November 2023, nitrous oxide has been a Class C drug under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 (it was previously covered by the Psychoactive Substances Act 2016). The law still allows N2O for legitimate uses such as whipping cream and catering, but it is an offence to supply it where the seller knows, or is reckless as to whether, it will be inhaled. That law applies across England, Wales and Scotland alike.
How our age and compliance checks work
- 18+ entry check when you first visit the site.
- Date of birth at checkout — orders with a missing or under-age date of birth are held for manual review.
- Mandatory culinary-use declaration: “I confirm these products are for lawful food and drink preparation only, and will not be inhaled or supplied to anyone for inhalation.” We record the time and IP address with your order.
- Misuse screening — orders with misuse-related wording, or unusually high volumes on consumer accounts (over 600 chargers in 7 days), are held. Trade accounts are approved separately for high-volume buyers.

Graduation weeks and term starts can make Coventry’s cafés and caterers much busier than usual, so order a little extra ahead of those dates. Businesses in the city-centre precincts should share the service-entrance details with the courier. If you live in shared student housing, add a clear safe-place note or have the parcel delivered to a work address. Keep chargers in a cool, dry cupboard away from radiators.
Safe storage: keep chargers in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight and below 50°C (122°F), away from children. Never puncture or heat a charger. Recycle empty steel chargers with metal recycling where your local rules allow, and never put full or partly used chargers in household waste.
Is It Worth Buying Genuine Mosa Chargers & Dispensers in Coventry?
Short answer: yes, if you whip cream regularly. Here is an honest comparison between named-brand chargers and the cheapest unbranded ones sold online in Coventry.
- Clean gas protects your dispenser. Poorly filtered gas can leave an oily residue that clogs dispenser valves and taints flavour. Named-brand chargers from MOSA, Liss and iSi are produced for food use, so your dispenser stays clean and your cream tastes of cream.
- Consistent 8g fills. Under-filled chargers mean flat cream and wasted cartridges. Branded chargers are filled to a consistent 8g, so one charger reliably whips up to 0.5 L of cream.
- Recyclable steel cylinders. MOSA chargers use steel cylinders that can be recycled once empty.
- A dispenser built to last. The MOSA dispenser in food-grade 304 stainless steel is made for daily commercial use. Spare washers and nozzles are available, so you repair it rather than replace it.
- Bulk saves real money. Moving from small packs to a wholesale case can cut your cost per charger by roughly two-thirds:
| Pack size | Price per charger |
|---|---|
| 24 pack (MOSA) | £0.58 |
| 240 pack (Liss) | £0.40 |
| 240 pack (iSi) | £0.75 |
| 600 wholesale case (iSi) | £0.70 |
| 2,400 wholesale case (MOSA) | £0.32 |
For most cafés and caterers, a 600-charger case is the sweet spot. Home bakers usually do best with a 24 or 48 pack and a 0.5 L dispenser.
