MOSA cream chargers contain food-grade nitrous oxide for making whipped cream, mousses, foams and drinks. They are not for inhalation.
UK legal position
Since 8 November 2023, nitrous oxide has been a Class C controlled drug under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971. Possessing or supplying it for legitimate purposes, such as catering and food preparation, is exempt. Supplying it when you know or suspect it will be inhaled is an offence.
Our controls
- Every buyer confirms the products are for lawful food and drink preparation only.
- Date of birth is required at checkout, and orders from under-18s are refused.
- Consumer accounts have quantity limits. Larger volumes require an approved trade account.
- Orders with unusual patterns are held and reviewed before dispatch.
- We do not sell balloons, crackers, flavoured gas or party products.
- We refuse, and may report, any order where we have reason to believe the product will be misused.
Safe gas handling
- Use chargers only with a compatible whipped cream dispenser.
- Never inhale nitrous oxide.
- Store below 50°C, away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children.
- Never puncture or recycle a charger that still contains gas. Empty steel capsules can go in metal recycling.
